The Snohomish County Early Learning Coalition (ELC) exists to make excellence in early learning achievable and sustainable for every child in Snohomish County.
The ELC hosts a monthly coalition meeting that serves as a platform for The Early Learning Coalition (ELC) hosts a monthly meeting for parents, caregivers, and early learning professionals to come together. This collaborative space allows us to highlight various projects, programs, and organizations within the Snohomish County early learning community. The coalition produces a monthly newsletter and shares information about the science of early brain development with parents and educators through a resource called Vroom. This initiative fosters a sense of community and promotes shared learning.
The ELC has created a multi-sector Early Learning Leadership Council that truly reflects the diversity of Snohomish County. This council, with members from geographically diverse areas, represents K-12 leaders, parents/caregivers, businesses, elected officials, and early learning leaders. Their collective aim is to advance early learning initiatives in Snohomish County, ensuring that the unique needs and perspectives of our diverse community are understood and addressed.
The ELC advocates for policy and system changes at the state and county levels to strengthen the early learning sector and better meet the needs of families with young children in Snohomish County.
