The Snohomish County Early Learning Coalition began about 30 years ago as a subcommittee of the Snohomish County
Children’s Commission. Over time the Early Childhood committee received
some funding and “spun off” from the Children’s Commission to become its own coalition and was fiscally sponsored by
Volunteers of America. Childstrive became ELC’s fiscal sponsor in June of 2017.
